About the Opportunity

The Plant Operator - Water Truck is responsible for undertaking maintenance and construction duties through the skilled operation of Council's plant fleet.

This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council.

The key ones include:

• Providing a high standard of operating skills on civil construction and maintaining plant and other equipment;

• Communicating effectively to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment;

• Completing allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames; and

• Be aware and adhere safe work practices to ensure all risks are minimised.

About yourself

A person in this position will need to have knowledge and experience in various aspects of Civil Construction and Maintenance works, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have:

• knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and its application;

• Current C Class Driver's Licence;

• HR licence (would be advantageous); and

• Work Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card (essential).
