Physiotherapist Level 3 - Temp PT - Long-term ventilation unit

The physiotherapist will provide clinical services to inpatients and/or outpatients as determined by the particular role. 

The physiotherapist will provide evidence based care within a multidisciplinary and family centred context, and utilise holistic physiotherapy models of care.    

Participation is required in ongoing education, teaching, evidence based practice and quality improvement activities.    

The Level 3 Physiotherapist will contribute at an advanced level to: 
• Planning, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services. 
• Development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and practice guidelines for patient care. 
• Liaison with community based services relevant to the patient population. 

Whilst this role is currently working in the LTVU service the actual workload and structure of the position may change in future to align with the overall structure of the Physiotherapy Department.

1. Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and current Australian Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA.
2. Extensive post graduate experience relevant to the position including casting and splinting experience.
3. Postgraduate experience working with children with complex disabilities including neuromuscular and neurological disorders
4. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, (including negotiation and conflict resolution skills) and proven success in multidisciplinary team settings.
5. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within clinical and administrative service demands.
6. Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and experience in quality improvement and/or research.
