About the role
Graphic Designer | Packaging, Digital & 3D
Bring products, brands and digital experiences to life.
At Arlec, we don't just design packaging – we design how customers experience our products, both in-store and online.
As one of Australia's leading suppliers of electrical and smart home products, our brands are found in homes across Australia and New Zealand through major retailers including Bunnings.
We're looking for a creative, commercially minded Graphic Designer to join our growing Design team. This role offers variety across packaging, digital design, online merchandising, UX and emerging 3D visualization, giving you the opportunity to work on projects from concept through to production.
If you enjoy solving problems through design and want your work seen by millions of customers, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
Reporting to the Design Manager, you'll collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales and eCommerce teams to create engaging visual solutions across our portfolio of brands.
No two days are the same. You'll work across traditional graphic design while also helping shape digital customer experiences through UX thinking and 3D visual content.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing retail packaging from concept through to finished artwork
Creating catalogues, sales presentations, POS material, product submissions and marketing collateral
Producing instructional manuals, labels and supporting product graphics
Supporting our online visual merchandising by creating engaging digital assets
Assisting with website and eCommerce customer journeys through UX-focused design
Creating user interfaces (GUI) for mobile applications
Developing mock-ups, product renders and 3D visualizations to support product launches and customer presentations
Ensuring brand consistency across multiple brands and customer touchpoints
Working closely with Studio Management and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time
Participating in creative workshops and contributing ideas for new products, packaging and customer experiences
About You
You're passionate about great design and understand that successful design isn't just about looking good—it's about communicating clearly and improving the customer experience.
You'll bring:
A qualification in Graphic Design or a related discipline
Strong experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and XD/Figma)
Excellent typography, layout and finished artwork skills
Experience designing for retail packaging, FMCG or consumer products
Digital design and online merchandising experience
An understanding of UX principles and customer-centred design
Experience with 3D rendering or visualization software (or a genuine interest in developing these skills)
Experience with AutoCAD, Keyshot or SolidWorks (advantageous)
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Why Join Arlec?
At Arlec, we're continually investing in our people, products and technology. You'll join a collaborative team where your ideas are valued and where you'll have the opportunity to work on nationally recognised brands that reach millions of Australian consumers.
