The Macquarie Arms Hotel is Australia's oldest pub, nestled on the banks of the Hawkesbury River and an easy drive or train from Sydney. Affectionately known as 'The Arms', the pub is located in historic Windsor and features friendly country-style service, food, entertainment and events for the whole family.

This is your chance to be part of the team! We are looking for our next casual Cook. This role will see you responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking a range of pub style food, complying and promoting safe work and food safety practices, and working with a small team of kitchen and bar staff. The role will be a casual position with the potential to progress to fulltime and will require the candidate to work most weekends and including night work.

What we are looking for
The successful applicant will:

• Have experience cooking in a commercial kitchen

• Be capable of cooking excellent meals

• Have an excellent understanding of Food Safety requirements for a commercial kitchen

• Demonstrate flexibility by being able to work weekends and nights

• Works well under pressure

• Have excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

• Be able to work well in a team environment as a team player

• Have the ability to undertake manual handling including stock movement

• Be willing to take direction from the Head Chef

• Be responsible, trustworthy and honest

• Be willing to assist, guide and train new staff
