Cleaner - Yandina State School

Yandina State School is seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our school support team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable and has a positive attitude.

Previous cleaning experience is desirable, however applicants who demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness are encouraged to apply.

Your opportunity:

The successful applicant will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

The position involves cleaning classrooms, offices, amenities and other school facilities, as well as maintaining high standards of hygiene across the school.

The successful applicant will work both independently and as part of a team and will be expected to follow cleaning procedures, workplace health and safety requirements and departmental guidelines.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
• Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
• Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
