About the Role:
ACT Pathology is seeking a motivated Scientist to join our Diagnostic Genomics Department, a multidisciplinary laboratory delivering specialist genomic testing services across the ACT and surrounding region. Working alongside experienced scientists and clinicians, you will contribute to a comprehensive diagnostic service that utilises cutting-edge technologies, including conventional cytogenetics, Fluorescence In Situ Hybridisation (FISH), PCR-based testing, and Next Generation Sequencing.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across all areas of the laboratory through a rotational role, while developing specialist expertise in diagnostic genomics. You will contribute to the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality genetic testing services within a collaborative and innovative team environment, while supporting the ongoing development of new techniques and technologies.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities, evaluate complex information, and make evidence-based decisions, while maintaining a commitment to continuous learning and excellence in laboratory practice.

Pathology allowance may apply, if applicable as defined in the ACT Public Sector Health Professional Enterprise Agreement, Section C. The pathology allowance ranges from $5,581 - $8,759 p.a.
