Cleaning Labourer

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Cleaning Labourer to contribute to Council’s success.

• Permanent Full Time – 9 on, 5 off Roster
• Based at the Calliope Depot
• Better Balance, Better Benefits with GRC

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to support Council’s direction by undertaking maintenance cleaning services for amenities, buildings and facilities throughout the Gladstone Region, in accordance with Council’s priorities and services.

Your role will include:

•          Working cross functionally across numerous sites – predominantly servicing community and corporate buildings
•          Promoting a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensuring active compliance.

You will bring:

•          Labouring skills to carry out maintenance cleaning activities on a daily basis.
•          Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
•          Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
•          Proficient skills and experience using technical devices.
•          Must be eligible and willing to obtain on appointment, a positive notice Working with Children Blue Card.
•          Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.

To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have applicable working rights.

This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.
