Director IT - Temporary Opportunity up to 12 months

Lead the strategic delivery, portfolio governance, data and assurance functions that enable Sydney Metro's transformative infrastructure program and shape the future of transport for NSW.

In this role, you'll:

Lead Sydney Metro's enterprise IT delivery, portfolio management, data and analytics, and assurance functions, ensuring technology investments are strategically aligned, effectively governed, and deliver measurable business outcomes across one of Australia's most significant infrastructure programs.

Provide executive oversight of a complex portfolio of technology initiatives, driving delivery performance, investment governance, assurance and prioritisation. Working closely with Transport for NSW Group Technology and delivery partners, you'll ensure critical IT, operational technology and data services support program objectives and operational commitments.

Champion delivery excellence through mature governance, risk and assurance practices, while building organisational capability across project delivery, business analysis, change and quality management.

About you

You are a highly credible technology and delivery executive with experience leading large-scale, complex portfolios in infrastructure, transport, government or similarly complex environments. You will bring:

• Significant leadership experience across enterprise IT delivery, portfolio management and assurance functions
• Proven success delivering complex technology, infrastructure, integration or operational technology programs
• Strong understanding of IT operations, application support and service delivery environments
• Demonstrated capability leading multidisciplinary teams and building high-performance cultures
• Expertise in governance, investment prioritisation, risk management and delivery assurance frameworks
• Experience leveraging data and analytics to improve organisational performance and decision making
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including operating effectively across executive and government environments
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or substantial senior professional experience
