Junior Sales Assistant

Job Title: Casual Junior Retail Assistant – Boutique Liquor, Wine & Delicatessen Location: Tweed Heads Area Job Type: Casual 15-20 hrs

About the Role: We are a busy, independent delicatessen and specialty wine store looking for an energetic Junior Retail Assistant to join our front-of-house team. If you have a genuine interest in good food and great drinks, and love delivering excellent customer service, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service.

• Assisting with food preparation, slicing, and deli counter service.

• Helping customers navigate our selection of boutique wines and craft beverages.

• Processing sales through the POS system and handling payments.

• Maintaining store cleanliness, merchandising, and restocking shelves.

• Processing & handling deliveries

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Previous experience in the retail liquor industry or restaurant/hospitality sector is essential.

• Skills: Demonstrated food handling skills and an understanding of food safety standards.

• Certifications: A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

• Availability: Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.

• Attributes: A reliable team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn about the food & beverage industry.

• Commitment: We are Industry leaders and will provide on job training to the right candidate.
