Long Tail Claims Manager

Summary

As the Long Tail Claims Manger for Hutch you’ll leverage your advanced understanding of Liability and Professional Indemnity claims to provide market leading claims service to our brokers and clients when they need it most. This role will also include some property claims handling.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Claims, you’ll have responsibility for handing claims from lodgement through assessment to payment including:

• Handling of all Long Tail Claims 
• Professional Indemnity
• General Liability
• Construction liability
• Building out a team as the portfolio expands
• Manage and increase legal panel as portfolio grows
• Claims Business Development activities    
• Building relationships with brokers 
• Working with underwriters to promote Hutch
• Claims Marketing 
• Generating content around our long tail products
• Presenting training content to brokers

Qualifications & Experience

You have at least 5 years’ experience handling long tail claims including both PI and Liability in the Australian market.

We are looking for a claims manager who is legally qualified.

You are:

• Highly organised and detail-oriented
• Excellent writing and presenting skills
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
• Analytical with strong problem-solving capability
• Confident communicating with both technical and non-technical teams
• Passionate about improving systems, processes and customer experiences
• Proactive, adaptable and delivery-focused
• Any property claims experience will be advantageous
