Rail Supervisor – Tasmania

Global Rail Australia is part of the Global Infrastructure Group and is a leading provider of services to clients across a range of track, engineering, and construction and infrastructure sectors. The Group employs over 500 people worldwide, and currently has offices in Launceston, Melbourne, the UK and Ireland .

We are currently looking to recruit a Rail Supervisor to work on upcoming projects in Tasmania.

The Rail Supervisor is responsible for delivery of rail infrastructure projects in a safe, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.

This role will be site based at Western Junction, and include regular travel throughout Tasmania.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordination with the Project Manager to deliver successful rail projects as required
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Effectively assigning tasks to your team members
• Monitoring project progress against the programmed and budget targets
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with client standards
• Plan and schedule work, and allocate resources to meet project objectives
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff and contractors

Requirements to be considered for this role:

• Proven experience in the rail industry, preferably with a focus on rail construction
• TPO/PIC qualifications
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW)
• 5 years experience in Rail
• Certificate 2 in Rail Infrastructure
• Certificate 3 in Track Hand Back Qualifications
• CAT 1 Medical
• Must be a team player and have a positive attitude
• Adhere to all Work Health and Safety procedures
