The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retirement Living Manager to lead the operations, services and sales of mecwacare’s Pascoe Vale Gardens retirement village. In this key role, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the village, ensuring high-quality service delivery, resident satisfaction and operational excellence. You will lead a dedicated team while managing village operations including resident services, asset management, budgets and lifestyle programs. The role also plays an important part in driving occupancy through the management of home resales and collaboration with marketing teams. Working closely with residents, staff and stakeholders, you will create a safe, welcoming and vibrant community aligned with mecwacare’s values and best practice standards.

About you

You are a confident and experienced leader who is passionate about delivering person-centred services in retirement living or community housing environments. You bring strong operational management skills, the ability to motivate and develop teams, and a commitment to creating positive resident experiences. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you thrive in a role where you can manage multiple priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with legislation and organisational standards. Your ability to balance operational management with sales and community engagement will help maintain a thriving retirement village environment where residents feel supported, safe and connected.

What you bring

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a retirement living or community care setting
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
• Strong understanding of retirement living operations and resident needs
• Proven ability to guide, motivate and mentor staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
• Experience managing operations, budgets and resources
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities

Desirable Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management or related field
• Understanding of financial management within retirement living
• Knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act and property settlement processes
