We're looking for an exceptional Program Design & Innovation Manager to help identify tomorrow's challenges and design the next generation of programs that can make a lasting difference.

About the opportunity

This is a newly created role for someone who thrives on identifying opportunities, connecting ideas and turning them into innovative, sustainable programs.

Working at the intersection of policy, strategy, education, public health and business development, you'll scan the external environment to understand emerging trends, government priorities and community needs. You'll transform these insights into compelling program concepts that are evidence-based, commercially viable and capable of attracting investment from government, philanthropy and partners.

From concept through to launch, you'll lead the development of new initiatives that strengthen Life Education Queensland's impact for years to come.

What you'll be doing

• Identifying emerging opportunities through policy analysis, market intelligence and sector research.

• Designing innovative health and education programs that respond to community need.

• Leading co-design processes with educators, young people, government agencies, researchers and subject matter experts.

• Developing program frameworks, impact logic, learning outcomes and implementation models.

• Preparing financial models, pricing strategies, business cases and investment proposals.

• Working collaboratively across fundraising, education, impact, marketing and executive teams to bring new initiatives to life.

• Building strong relationships across government, education, health and community sectors.

• Representing Life Education Queensland in external forums and positioning the organisation as a trusted leader in children's health education.

• Leading project governance, planning, reporting and continuous improvement throughout the program development lifecycle.
  

About you

You're a strategic thinker with a passion for creating meaningful social impact. You enjoy bringing together evidence, stakeholder insights and commercial thinking to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions.

You'll bring:

• Experience designing and developing new programs, services or initiatives within health, education, community services or government.

• Strong understanding of Queensland's education, health or youth sectors.

• Demonstrated ability to analyse policy, research and emerging trends to identify strategic opportunities.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across government, education and community sectors.

• Experience facilitating consultation and co-design with diverse stakeholders.

• Commercial acumen, including financial modelling, business case development and assessing program viability.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives from concept to implementation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing proposals, strategic papers and presentations.
  

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Public Health, Education, Social Policy, Business, Behavioural Science or a related discipline.

• Experience working with government agencies or within government program design (highly regarded).

• A current Blue Card (or the ability to obtain one).
