About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mental Health Registered Nurse to deliver specialist mental health nursing care to residents with complex mental health, behavioural and psychosocial needs. Guided by our Care with Purpose approach and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, you will play a vital role in enhancing residents’ wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.
This is a part-time role (0.8 FTE) based at Archbishop Goody Residential Care in East Perth, offered on a fixed-term contract through to March 2028.

Working at Archbishop Goody
Archbishop Goody is a small, welcoming facility set among beautifully landscaped gardens near the Swan River, with views across Queens Gardens. You’ll have the opportunity to form meaningful connections with residents, families and colleagues, supported by strong clinical oversight, ongoing training, and guidance from an experienced and approachable leadership team.
You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, person-centred care and support positive outcomes for residents.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing or significant equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment, behaviour management, and restrictive practices
Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
A National Police Clearance, or the willingness to obtain one
Experience working in aged care, including with complex behaviours and within a trauma-informed care framework (desirable)
