WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING As the Scheme Operations Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of either the Levy or Leave team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, consistent application of processes and the achievement of service level agreements.
You will:
- Maintain effective reporting and analysis to provide insights, ensure data integrity, identify trends and identify improvement opportunities
- Monitor and support team performance ensuring staff are appropriately trained and delivering services in line with agreed processes, procedures, and service standards
- Ensure team members receive regular performance feedback through coaching, mentoring, one on one sessions, buddying and other learning and development activities
- Manage team attendance, leave requests, and exceptions in line with business requirements and organisational protocols
- Champion and lead continuous and business improvement processes, along with change projects and associated processes to deliver improved service delivery and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation as an SME for Scheme Operations and its activities
- Read, understand, interpret, and apply Coal LSL legislation, in line with our existing processes and procedures
There are two vacancies available: one permanent position and one 12-month contract position, both based in Newcastle.

Your background will demonstrate your:
- Ability to lead by example through self-awareness and a commitment to appropriate workplace behaviour
- Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and responsible handling of information (corporate and personal)
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
