Senior Medical Receptionist

Toukley Medical Services is looking for experienced, highly organised Senior Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, patient-focused team across all three of our practice sites:  Warnervale GP Super Clinic, Toukley Family Practice and Mariners Medical Centre.

In this key front-of-house role, you’ll provide exceptional customer service and high-quality administrative support to our Doctors and Nurses, helping keep our busy clinics running smoothly.

About the role

·         Greet and assist patients in a warm, professional manner

·         Schedule and manage appointments (in person and by phone) using Best Practice

·         Process private billing, Workers Compensation accounts, and Medicare claims

·         Respond to patient enquiries promptly and provide outstanding service

·         Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and documentation

·         Provide high-level administrative support to Doctors and Nurses

·         Manage incoming correspondence (faxes), scan and file reports, and support debtor account follow-up

About you

·         Recent experience in a senior medical receptionist role

·         Strong proficiency with Best Practice (or similar clinical software)

·         Proactive and reliable, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

·         Sound understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS)

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong organisation and time management skills with attention to detail

·         Availability for part-time or casual hours, including rotating Saturdays

·         A calm, compassionate and professional approach with a commitment to outstanding patient care

·         Current driver licence and a reliable vehicle
