Start your apprenticeship the right way with Applejack Hospitality, working across some of Sydney’s most iconic venues and kitchens while cooking with incredible Australian produce.

We’re looking for passionate 1st Year Apprentice Chefs to join our award-winning kitchen teams. This is more than just an apprenticeship, it’s your opportunity to build a strong culinary foundation, learn from experienced industry professionals and develop the skills to build a long-term career in hospitality.

You’ll work alongside supportive senior kitchen leaders who will mentor and guide you through your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, combining structured trade training with hands on experience in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

• Passion for cooking, food and the hospitality industry, with a genuine interest in learning how kitchens operate and developing your skills as a chef.
• A positive mindset and willingness to learning new tasks you haven’t done before.
• Bring your authentic self to the kitchen be approachable, respectful and willing to work as part of a team.
• Grit and determination to keep pushing yourself to be the best you can be. 
• Accountability and pride in your work. From maintaining a clean and organised workstation to following recipes, safety procedures and preparation standards.
• Curiosity and innovation, we want you to ask questions, try new things and develop your own passion for the industry.
