Sous Chef

We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic sous chef who prides themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

As Sous Chef you are responsible for daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Head Chef in the daily operation
• Work according to the menu specifications
• Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions
• Control food stock and food cost in your section or as required
• Prepare the daily food in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites
• Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
• Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in/ manage set up of buffets and special functions

Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course or at least 10 years previous experiences in quality establishments along with good culinary skills. The ability to communicate well and a proven track of food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge is an essential.
