Fabrication Supervisor – Structural Steel

CIA Precast & Steel, part of the ATB Morton Group, is looking for a Fabrication Supervisor to join our team at our Tomago workshop.

If you've got a strong background in structural steel fabrication and you're ready to step into a supervisory role (or you're already supervising), this could be the opportunity you're looking for. Reporting to the Group Manufacturing Manager, you'll keep the workshop running smoothly by planning work, supporting the team and making sure jobs are completed safely, on time and to a high standard. You'll also work closely with our engineering, drafting and purchasing teams to make sure materials, drawings and production are all working together.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work with workshop leads to keep jobs moving and production on schedule.

• Read and interpret structural steel drawings for fabrication, material take-offs and nesting.

• Liaise with engineering, drafting, and purchasing to make sure the workshop has what it needs to get the job done.

• Keep an eye on quality and make sure work meets project requirements.

• Maintain a safe, tidy, and well-run workshop.

• Track job progress and complete basic production reporting.

• Support the workshop team and help solve problems as they come up.

 About You

You'll have:

• Experience in structural steel fabrication.

• The ability to read and understand structural steel drawings.

• Good knowledge of fabrication processes and workshop operations.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• A hands-on approach and the ability to solve problems on the floor.

• A strong commitment to safety.

 Requirements

• Current unrestricted Class C Driver Licence.

• Forklift Licence (preferred).

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.

• Full Australian working rights.
