Gardener/ Yard Person

About the role

Baldivis Vet Hospital is seeking a reliable, hands-on Casual Gardener/Yard Person to join our team immediately and help maintain our hospital grounds, gardens and equine facilities to a high standard. This is a varied role combining gardening, grounds maintenance and general property upkeep in a friendly, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining gardens, lawns and landscaped areas

• Mowing, whipper snipping, weeding and hedge trimming

• Irrigation and reticulation maintenance

• General property and building maintenance

• Maintaining equine paddocks and sand traps

• Operating and maintaining gardening equipment

• Using vehicles and trailers to collect supplies and remove rubbish

• Assisting with general maintenance tasks around the hospital

About you

• Has experience in gardening, grounds maintenance or property maintenance

• Is practical, reliable and enjoys working outdoors

• Can safely operate gardening equipment and basic machinery

• Holds a current manual driver's licence (HR licence desirable)

• Has experience working on a rural or horse property (highly desirable)

• Can work independently and take pride in maintaining a professional environment
