About the Role
Quickcare Team is recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for an experienced Cook to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in food safety and quality, and who is happy to occasionally step onto the floor to support the care team when needed.

Most shifts will focus on meal preparation and heating/reheating of pre-prepared meals in line with our client's menu and food safety standards. On occasion, you may be asked to support floor duties, so a minimum Certificate III is required in addition to your cooking experience.

Flexible hours are on offer to suit the right candidate — for example, 7:30am–3:30pm or 8:00am–2:00pm.

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for heating and preparing meals to a high standard, following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, working within menu and dietary requirement guidelines (including special diets and allergies), keeping accurate records for food safety compliance, and occasionally assisting on the floor with basic care duties when rostered.

What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you'll need a minimum Certificate III, previous experience in a commercial kitchen or similar food service environment, a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain one), strong communication skills and a team-first attitude, and the flexibility to occasionally support floor duties and work flexible hours as needed.
