Senior Structural Engineer

Your role will include, but will not be limited to:

• Delivering high quality and innovative structural designs and documentation for building structures with medium to large complexity, such as architecturally designed houses, and associated facilities and light commercial buildings.
• Running projects from concept design to construction within budget and delivery time frame, with supports from experienced and collaborative teams.
• Assist in client management with existing clients and other relevant project stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
• Assist in developing graduate/junior engineers within team in alignment with company goals, procedures and strategy.
• Cultivating a sense of client focus in your team's everyday approach to their work, in particular with a sense of responsiveness, delivery on time, and professionalism.

You will need to have:

• A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
• 5+ years post-grad structural design experience in residential or building industry.
• Experience in the design of residential/low rise structural buildings.
• Experience in design using timber structures, reinforced concrete, steel structures, and designs of waffle, raft, suspended slab, retaining walls etc
• Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools such as Space Gass, Toolkit
• An ability to build rapport with clients and project stakeholders
• Advanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes, design in accordance with AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC etc.
