Trainee Category Manager | Fast track your commercial career with Supercheap Auto Hybrid

This is your opportunity to join Supercheap Auto in a newly created development role designed to build the next generation of Category Managers and commercial leaders. As Trainee Category Manager you will sit alongside our Category Manager to lean the tricks of the trade before taking full ownership of your subcategories product ranges, trading terms and promotional plans.

You'll ideally have:

• A completed degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Accounting, Product Development, Data Analytics or Business Analytics
• Retail, customer-facing, internship or commercial experience

What you'll be doing

As a Trainee Category Manager, you'll partner with our Category Manager, to fast track your learning and development retail merchandise setting before driving into sub-category ownership. You'll:

• Develop your commercial acumen by helping shape product ranges, pricing strategies and promotional plans that influence customer purchasing decisions.
• Take ownership of a product sub-category, learning how to balance sales, profitability, inventory and customer outcomes.
• Turn data into action by analysing customer, sales and market trends to identify opportunities and solve commercial challenges.
• Learn how to build and manage supplier relationships, working with trade partners to bring great products and value to our customers.
• Collaborate with teams across marketing, digital, stores, planning and merchandising to deliver engaging customer experiences both in-store and online.
• Influence real business decisions by contributing ideas, challenging thinking and recommending solutions that improve category performance.
