Warehouse Manager

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our new Melbourne Distribution Warehouse operation located in Epping, Victoria.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility and making things happen. You will be trusted to manage the operation, make decisions and drive improvements without being micromanaged.

About the role

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day warehouse operation, including stock control, receiving, picking and dispatch. You will manage warehouse staff and set high standards, coordinate freight and customer orders, and maintain a safe, organised and efficient warehouse. You will identify and implement process improvements, monitor warehouse performance and inventory, and communicate effectively with management, customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day warehouse operation

• Stock control, receiving, picking and dispatch

• Managing warehouse staff and setting high standards

• Coordinating freight and customer orders

• Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient warehouse

• Identifying and implementing process improvements

• Monitoring warehouse performance and inventory

• Communicating effectively with management, customers and suppliers

About you

• Takes ownership and accountability

• Communicates clearly and proactively

• Works independently and makes sound decisions

• Is organised, reliable and commercially minded

• Leads by example

• Has a strong focus on customer service and getting things done

• Has previous warehouse, logistics or operations management experience

• Holds a forklift licence and driver's licence

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial products would be highly regarded
