About the role

Blue Shield Family General Practice is seeking a professional, reliable and motivated Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse to join our friendly, established two-doctor general practice in Kogarah. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 18 hours per week, suitable for an RN who enjoys general practice nursing and working as part of a small, supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Immunisations and vaccine administration
• Wound care and dressings
• Chronic disease management and care-plan support
• Health assessments
• Patient observations and clinical triage
• ECGs, spirometry and other routine clinical procedures
• Assisting doctors with minor procedures
• Recall and reminder management
• Vaccine inventory and cold-chain management
• Maintaining the resuscitation trolley and emergency equipment

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• High attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritise clinical responsibilities and work independently within scope of practice
• A reliable, professional and team-focused approach
• Good computer skills and ability to work with general practice software
• Previous general practice nursing experience, immunisation qualifications and familiarity with primary care systems are highly regarded
