Yard Hand

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our growing tyre recycling facility in Naval Base. This is a full-time, hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in working safely, and wants long-term, stable employment.

Working as part of our workshop team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our recycling plant running efficiently by handling tyres, operating forklifts, loading our tyre shredding equipment, and maintaining a clean and organised yard & workshop.

• Operating a forklift to load, unload and move tyres throughout the site.

• Loading truck and passenger tyres onto the tyre shredder conveyor.

• Sorting, stacking and processing used tyres.

• Loading and unloading customer and transport vehicles.

• Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe.

• Assisting with general plant and yard operations as required.

• Performing routine equipment inspections and reporting maintenance issues.

• Following all workplace health and safety procedures.

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

• Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling.

• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.

• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Previous experience in recycling, waste management, manufacturing, transport or heavy industry.

• Experience operating conveyors, industrial machinery, or telehandlers.

• Current Forklift (LF) Licence.

• Full-time, permanent position.
