Soccer Fun Academy | VictoriaCasual | Flexible Hours | Community-BasedAbout Soccer Fun AcademySoccer Fun Academy is a Victorian not-for-profit organisation providing inclusive community soccer programs for children of all abilities.Our programs use soccer to help children develop their skills, confidence, independence and social connections in a safe, supportive and fun environment.Our values are Inclusion, Fun, Respect, Development, Community and Integrity.About the RoleWe are looking for enthusiastic and positive Soccer Coaches and Assistant Coaches to join our team.This is a flexible casual position, with sessions delivered during school terms, including:After-school sessionsEvening sessionsSome weekend sessionsCoaching takes place in community settings, activity centres and school gymnasiums across Victoria.Where possible, travel will be limited to approximately 30km from your home base.What You'll DoYou will support children of all abilities to participate in soccer through patient, encouraging and individualised coaching.Your role will include:Delivering fun and engaging soccer sessionsHelping participants develop soccer skills and confidenceSupporting children to work towards their individual goalsBuilding positive and professional relationships with participants and their familiesAdapting communication and coaching approaches to suit individual needsCreating a safe, inclusive and respectful environmentWorking collaboratively with families, carers, coaches, volunteers and other members of a participant's support networkWorking within the NDIS Code of Conduct and your role responsibilitiesYou don't need to be an experienced coach to apply. Training and mentoring can be provided to the right person.We're Looking For Someone WhoEnjoys working with childrenHas a positive, patient and encouraging personalityHas an interest in soccer or sportIs reliable, respectful and professionalCan build trusting relationships with children and familiesIs willing to learn and develop their coaching skillsCan recognise when they need support and work within their capabilitiesPrevious experience coaching, teaching or working with children is an advantage, but is not essential.Essential RequirementsApplicants must have:Current Working with Children CheckNDIS Worker Screening CheckCompletion of the NDIS Worker Orientation ModuleCurrent driver's licenceAccess to and use of your own vehicleThe NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module information will be provided prior to commencement.Eligibility to ApplyApplicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.Applicants must be one of the following:Australian citizenAustralian permanent residentNew Zealand citizen with appropriate Australian work rightsHolder of a visa that provides unrestricted work rights in AustraliaSoccer Fun Academy does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants may be required to provide evidence of their right to work in Australia prior to commencement.QualificationsA Foundation of Football Certificate (formerly Miniroos Certificate) or similar coaching qualification is preferred.Don't have a coaching qualification yet?
