ESTIMATOR - IN HOUSE SALES

About the role

Hinterland Glassworx is looking for an experienced Estimator / In-House Sales Representative to join our growing team. This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing incoming enquiries, estimating glazing projects, preparing quotes and converting opportunities into profitable jobs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the building, construction or glazing industry and understand how to read plans, assess project requirements and confidently communicate with customers and builders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming phone, email and online sales enquiries
• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for residential and commercial glazing projects
• Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications
• Liaise with builders, homeowners, trades and suppliers
• Follow up quotes and actively convert opportunities into sales
• Assist with tender submissions and project pricing
• Identify project requirements and ensure quotes are accurate and commercially viable
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information within our job management/CRM system
• Coordinate with our operations and installation teams to ensure jobs are quoted correctly
• Build strong ongoing relationships with customers and builders

About you

• Previous experience in the glazing, construction or building industry
• Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology
• Ability to read plans and specifications
• Strong estimating and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines
• Confident using computers and job management/CRM systems
