We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Registered Midwives and Dual Registered Nurse Midwives to join our supportive Maternity team at St John of God Ballarat Hospital.

Our midwives play a vital role in supporting women, babies and their families through one of life’s most significant experiences. You will provide personalised care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal journey, building trusted relationships and ensuring every family feels supported, informed and cared for.

You will have the opportunity to work across our antenatal clinics and services, maternity wards, birth suites and Special Care Nursery, providing comprehensive care to women and newborns across a diverse range of clinical presentations.

The Position

Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.

You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Midwife or Registered Midwife, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

We can offer you:
