About the role
We have an exciting opportunity at our Nowra practice!
Join our Nowra team, with structured supervision, hands-on mentoring and a graduated caseload built for your first year. Applications are open now.
IOT is a well established growing multidisciplinary allied health practice delivering NDIS services across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. Our team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists who work collaboratively to support participants to achieve real, functional outcomes.
We strive to be an employer of choice. That means real training time, admin support that protects your clinical hours, and a workload built to last.
Efficient systems and strong administrative support
A values-driven, inclusive, fun and flexible work environment
A focus on sustainable workloads and high-quality care
Based at our Nowra clinic, you will build your clinical foundations across a supported, diverse NDIS caseload spanning adolescent and adult populations. You will work across a wide range of clients - spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injury, amputees, hearing and visual impairment, and intellectual disabilities. Community-based work is part of the role: you will see people in their homes, not just a treatment room, and see the direct impact of your work in how they live day to day.
The OT process - initial assessments, goal-setting, functional observations and intervention planning
Standardised assessments such as Sensory Profile, WHODAS, Vineland and upper limb assessments
Therapy program design, including falls prevention, sensory integration and ADL/upper limb retraining
Assistive technology and minor home modification prescription
Report writing, including Functional Capacity Reports and housing modification reports
Beyond this core training, we support further training in your areas of interest.
A clear clinical supervisory structure, so you always have someone to check in with - backed by admin support that keeps paperwork off your plate
Competitive salary, paid work phone, plus paid travel for work-related appointments
CPD funding up to $1,000 per year (pro rata) plus paid training leave of up to 5 days
Once you've built some experience, the option to work from home or from our office - your choice
Manageable, diverse caseloads that give you real variety without overload
A small, close-knit team where you're mentored directly by experienced clinicians
Shorter commute times and more time outside of work
Coastal lifestyle with beaches, rivers and national parks nearby
Lower cost of living compared to metro areas
A well-established clinic and client base
A completed (or near-completion) qualification in Occupational Therapy
Eligibility for AHPRA registration
A collaborative, client-centred approach and willingness to learn
Current Australian work rights at the time of application
A driver's licence, for community-based service delivery
How to Apply Send your resume and a short cover letter to our HR Manager, Ellen-Marie Lloyd ••••@iotah.com.au. We're happy to have a confidential chat before you apply.
IOT welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, including people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse candidates, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We're happy to adjust our recruitment process to support accessibility needs.
Pre employment checks are required.
