About the Role
We are seeking an experienced OH&S / Quality Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations while overseeing quality assurance for installations.
This is an onsite position based at the company’s Truganina facility, with travel to other operational and project sites as reasonably required.
Key Responsibilities
List 6- Develop, implement, evaluate and regularly review occupational health and safety risk management policies, programs and plans.
Identify workplace hazards, assess, prioritise and control risks associated with work activities, processes, plant, equipment, and chemical and physical hazards.
Develop, review and implement Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), safe operating procedures and other risk-control documentation
Monitor applicable WHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice and company standards, and advise management and site teams on compliance requirements.
Inspect and audit workplaces, work processes, plant and equipment to verify legislative compliance and the effectiveness of risk controls.
Develop, implement and monitor programs to minimise workplace exposure to chemical and physical hazards, including relevant occupational hygiene controls.
Promote ergonomic principles by aligning work activities, equipment and workplace design with employee needs.
Train and coach employees and contractors in occupational health and safety procedures, personal protective equipment requirements and safe working practices.
Record, report and investigate incidents, injuries, near misses and equipment damage; identify root causes, recommend corrective actions and report safety performance.
Coordinate workplace rehabilitation and the safe, sustainable return to work of injured workers in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Perform quality assurance checks on installations to confirm project and company requirements are met.
Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, dealers and partners to maintain occupational health, safety and quality standards across multiple sites.
Working with: APAC Project Team, Sales, Procurement, Engineering, External Vendors, and Clients.
Education:
Diploma or higher qualification in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) or related discipline preferred. Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may also be considered.
Work Experience and Skills
Proven experience developing, implementing and evaluating WHS risk management policies, programs and plans, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice and standards, with demonstrated experience monitoring and auditing workplace compliance.
Demonstrated capability in hazard identification, risk assessment and control, workplace inspections and audits, incident investigation, safety reporting and employee training across multiple sites.
Experience in workplace rehabilitation and return-to-work coordination is desirable. Quality assurance experience in construction installations is an advantage.
