About the role
We are currently seeking to fulfill two positions, an experienced Drill Rig Fitter and Truck/Diesel Mechanic to join our team based on the northern end of the Gold Coast. These are full-time, hands-on roles working across a fleet of trucks, rigs and support gear, supporting our drilling operations.
About the Role
You will be based at our Yatala yard and responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy vehicles and our drilling rig fleet to ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and operational. The role is suitable for various levels of competency or experience, but previous mechanical and hydraulic maintenance experience is vital.
Working Hours:
Flexible in Nature - Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 4:00pm or as otherwise agreed
Key Responsibilities include
Service, repairs and maintenance of heavy vehicles, trailers, plant machinery as well as light vehicles
Fault finding and diagnostics (electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical)
Brake, suspension, and drivetrain repairs
Pre-starts, inspections, and preventative maintenance
Attending breakdowns when required
Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Fabrication and modifications to various pieces of equipment associated with our drilling operations
About You
Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Experience working on drilling rigs and trucks
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
HR licence essential
