About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Regional Tyre Fitter / Controller to take ownership of tyre operations across our fleet of school buses, route buses, coaches and mini buses.

This is a hands-on role combining tyre fitting, preventative maintenance, stock control and performance monitoring, with responsibility for supporting multiple depots and responding to on-road tyre issues when required.

You’ll play an important role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and available for the communities we serve.

What You’ll Do

• Fit, repair, rotate and replace heavy vehicle tyres across multiple depots
• Coordinate and respond to on-road tyre breakdowns
• Monitor tyre wear, identify trends and investigate abnormal wear
• Manage tyre stock, ordering and preventative maintenance schedules
• Maintain equipment, support workshops and ensure responsible tyre disposal

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Tyre Fitter; bus experience highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of tyre wear, maintenance and fitting practices
• Experience with stock control and working across multiple locations
• Strong problem-solving, organisation and communication skills
• A proactive approach to safety, quality and fleet reliability

Working Conditions

This is a multi-site, hands-on role involving workshop, outdoor and mobile work.

The position requires travel between depots and may involve early starts or occasional response to tyre breakdowns.

Essential Requirements

• Current Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR)
• Valid Working with Children Check (Employee) issued through Services Victoria
