Secondary Locations – RFDS Cairns, Atherton Hospital, Mossman Multi-Purpose Health Service, Gordonvale Memorial Hospital, Innisfail Hospital, Mareeba Hospital, Thursday Island Primary Health & Thursday Island Hospital, Cooktown Health Service, Yarrabah Hospital, Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service, Wujal Wujal Primary Health Care Centre, Hope Vale Primary Health Care Centre, Laura Primary Health Care Centre, Tully Hospital and Weipa Hospital, Bamaga Hospital and Babinda Hospital.

About your role:

• A Junior House Officer is a medical practitioner in the first year after eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner and who has not been appointed as a Registrar or Principal House Officer.
• A Senior House Officer is a medical practitioner in the second or subsequent year of practical experience after eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner and who has not been appointed as a Registrar or Principal House Officer.
• Cairns Hospital has a number of Junior and Senior House Officer Positions. Junior and Senior House Officers reports to and are responsible to the relevant Director for the clinical care of patients.  Administratively Junior and Senior House Officers are responsible to the Medical Superintendent.
