Industrial Labourer / Spotter

Simmons Civil is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious casual Industrial Labourer / Spotter to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. As an Industrial Labourer / Spotter, your primary focus will be on maintaining site safety, assisting with general labouring duties, and providing spotting services to ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide spotting services for mobile plant and equipment, ensuring safe movement and operations on-site

• Perform general labouring duties including site preparation, material handling, and debris removal

• Maintain clear communication with equipment operators and site personnel using radio communications

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of work areas and equipment

• Maintain housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean and organised

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Labourer / Spotter in industrial, construction, or civil settings

• White Card (Construction Induction Card), EWP ticket, 3-site Medipass (Yellow)

• Gladstone site inductions (highly desirable)

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour duties

• Reliability and punctuality, with a positive attitude towards work

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to site-specific procedures

• Current manual driver's licence and vehicle to get to work essential
