Join the Handy Excavations Team – Drainage & Civil Works (Sydney)

Handy Excavations is growing, and we're looking for motivated, hands-on team members to join us across Sydney in the drainage and civil construction industry.

What we're looking for (ALL essential):

• White Card

• Minimum C class licence and own transport - applicants with a truck licence (MR/HR or higher) will be looked upon favourably

• Strong work ethic – honest, reliable, and willing to get stuck in

• Fit and capable of undertaking physically demanding work

• Previous labouring or drainage experience

• Ability to maintain and take responsibility for work vehicles and equipment, including keeping the work truck clean and ensuring GPS equipment is properly cared for

Roles available:

• Construction Labourers

• Pipe Layers (minimum 3 years proven experience, must be able to read and understand drainage plans and work with lasers and GPS)

• Excavator Operators (minimum 5 years proven experience, SOA and VOC required, GPS experience preferred)

Your day-to-day could include:

• Assisting with pipe laying and drainage works

• Digging trenches, mixing and pouring concrete

• Keeping the worksite clean, safe, and running smoothly

• Filling, securing and stacking sandbags, maintaining sufficient stock levels for immediate use

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the work truck and ensuring all onboard equipment and tools (including GPS) is looked after

• Loading/unloading and moving materials on site

Please note: This is physical, hands-on work – ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team that gets the job done. Our current project is based in Wilton (2571).

Applicants must be willing to demonstrate their skills and experience by participating in a paid two-day trial. This trial will allow both the applicant and Handy Excavations to ensure the role is the right fit.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and reference checks.
