About the role
$65,000 - $70,000 before superannuation
Sigma Health is seeking a full-time Storeperson to support the day-to-day receiving, handling, storage and despatch of goods within our warehouse operations in Northern Territory.The role will involve receiving incoming goods, checking deliveries for damage and discrepancies against invoices and purchase orders, unloading vehicles, opening and checking packages, labelling stock with storage locations, recording quantities and stock movements in warehouse systems, and assisting with packing, weighing and preparing goods for despatch. The successful applicant will also assist with order picking, operating materials handling equipment where required, and participating in regular stocktakes to help maintain accurate inventory levels.
Responsibilities includeReceiving and checking incoming goods against invoices, packing lists and purchase orders.Unloading vehicles, opening packages and confirming quantities and condition of stock.Operating computer systems to look up stock locations and record stock movements.Labelling goods with storage locations and assisting with put-away and storage.Picking, packing and weighing goods, sealing boxes and preparing orders for despatch.Assisting with regular stocktakes and basic stock control tasks.Safely using materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and/or order pickers (training can be provided).Working safely and efficiently in a warehouse or stores environment with good attention to detail.
Skills and QualificationsA Certificate III in warehousing, logistics or a related field or at least three years of relevant experience in a similar warehouse or distribution environment, is preferred.Applicants with prior warehouse, logistics, inventory or storeperson experience will be highly regarded.Experience using SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office will be viewed favourably but is not essential where candidates can demonstrate the ability to learn new systems quickly.
