About the role
Traffic Response Officer
RACQ’s Traffic Response Unit (TRU) is a specialised operational team of first responders, providing rapid incident response, dynamic traffic management, and motorist support across Queensland’s road network. The TRU plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and resilience of minor and major transport corridors through close collaboration with emergency services and road authorities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Traffic Response Officer (TRO), you will respond to a wide variety of planned and unplanned incidents. Working in high-risk, fast-paced environments, you will help protect motorists, reduce congestion, and restore safe and orderly road operations as quickly and professionally as possible. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
