SAP Basis Consultant

Well-established Australian organisation and a SAP Gold Partner, seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our ERP Platform team on an initial 12-month contract or permanent role. 

Commencement ASAP.

Reporting to the Senior ERP Manager, you will work within an experienced ERP Platform team and collaborate closely with SAP functional and technical specialists.

Your Role

Your primary focus will be providing reliable, hands-on SAP Basis administration and operational support across production and non-production environments.

· Providing end-to-end SAP technical administration and BAU operational support.

· Diagnosing and resolving SAP platform incidents, service requests and recurring technical issues.

· Supporting system stability, performance and availability across the SAP landscape.

· Managing system refreshes, client administration, kernel maintenance, patching and technical housekeeping.

· Applying SAP Notes and coordinating technical escalations with SAP Support.

· Supporting SAP data and document archiving activities.

· Maintaining RFC destinations, web services, SSL/SAML/SSO configurations, certificates and other SAP technical connectivity.

· Managing SAP transports and associated change processes across production and non-production environments.

· Troubleshooting job failures, dumps, RFC errors, connectivity issues and system performance bottlenecks.

· Supporting Major Incident resolution and planned after-hours maintenance where required.

· Maintaining technical documentation, operating procedures and audit evidence.

· Working with infrastructure, networking, security, application and AMS teams to resolve cross-platform issues.

 About You

You are an experienced, hands-on SAP Basis professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a complex enterprise SAP environment.

You will bring:

· 5+ years of SAP Basis experience, ideally within large and complex enterprise environments.

· Strong hands-on experience supporting SAP ECC and NetWeaver-based environments.

· Experience across technologies such as SAP ECC and/or SAP BTP

· Strong knowledge of SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and transport/change processes.

· Experience with system refreshes, kernel upgrades, patching and SAP Notes.

· Strong SAP monitoring, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.

· Demonstrated experience resolving job failures, system dumps, RFC issues and performance bottlenecks.

· Experience working within structured Incident, Problem and Change Management processes and ITSM environments.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

· The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across SAP, infrastructure, security and vendor teams.
