Construction Manager

📍 Sydney and MelbourneWe are currently supporting a US-headquartered design, engineering and construction management firm with its expansion across Australia.The business is looking to appoint a Construction Manager with experience delivering data centre, mission-critical or technically complex construction projects.The successful candidate will take responsibility for on-site delivery, contractor coordination, programme management, quality and safety throughout the construction phase.Key responsibilities:Manage day-to-day construction activities across major project workstreams
* Coordinate principal contractors, subcontractors, consultants and vendors
* Monitor project schedules, construction progress and key milestones
* Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with design requirements
* Review construction documentation, method statements and installation plans
* Lead site meetings and communicate progress to project stakeholders
* Identify and resolve construction, design and sequencing issues
* Support quality inspections, testing, commissioning and project close-out
* Maintain accurate reporting across programme, risk, cost and delivery performanceWhat we are looking for:Construction management experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities or complex commercial projects
* Strong understanding of MEP-intensive construction environments
* Experience managing contractors, site teams and multiple project stakeholders
* Ability to interpret construction drawings, programmes and technical documentation
* Strong knowledge of site safety, quality assurance and construction sequencing
* Confident communication and leadership skills
