CiteHire is on the lookout for a Warehouse Storeman/Tilt Tray Driver to join our growing team, based in Mackay.

We’re a proud North Queensland, family-owned equipment hire business, servicing Mackay, the Whitsundays, Bowen Basin, Rockhampton and Townsville across construction, civil, mining infrastructure and more.

This is not your typical warehouse job. One minute you could be preparing equipment for hire, the next you could be carrying out minor repairs and maintenance, washing down machinery, loading equipment or heading out in the tilt tray to make a delivery.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Operating our tilt tray for equipment deliveries and collections

• Loading, securing and transporting hire equipment safely

• Preparing hire equipment for customers and upcoming jobs

• Carrying out basic repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance

• Washing and cleaning machinery and equipment after hire

• Completing pre-hire and post-hire equipment checks

• Keeping the warehouse, workshop and yard clean, safe and organised

• Assisting with loading and unloading equipment

• Maintaining equipment presentation and ensuring machines are clean, compliant and customer-ready

• Communicating professionally with customers, site teams and the CiteHire crew

• Pitching in wherever needed to keep a busy hire operation moving

HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, primarily Monday to Friday, with Saturday work required when necessary.

As CiteHire services the construction, civil, mining and infrastructure industries, our operating requirements can vary depending on customer demand, equipment movements and project requirements.

The successful applicant will therefore need to be flexible with working hours and available to work the hours reasonably necessary to fulfil the requirements of the position, taking into consideration the nature of the equipment hire and transport business and the industries we service.

• Flexible with working hours when operational requirements demand it

MUST HAVES

• Current HR Truck Licence

• Experience operating a tilt tray and transporting machinery/equipment

• Good knowledge of load restraint and safe loading practices

• Current Australian Driver Licence

• Ability to safely operate, load and unload a variety of hire equipment

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to undertake basic equipment repairs and maintenance

• Good communication skills

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

A current Forklift Licence is highly regarded, along with previous experience in equipment hire, transport, warehousing, construction, civil or mechanical industries - Excavator & Bobcat ticket adventageous.
