Optical Assistant

Specsavers Elsternwick and Bentleigh have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic full time team member to join our teams as an Optical Assistant.   
 

We're looking for an ambitious, energetic and customer focused individual to join our growing team as we provide our local community with the highest levels of eye care. Day to day you'll be providing advice on frame selection, booking appointments and fitting spectacles. You will work with and can obtain Cert IV qualification as an Optical Dispenser. We're passionate about what we do and if you love working with people and making a difference in their lives then this could be the job for you.

Skills and experience:
The successful candidate will have a rewarding career with Specsavers and will possess the following skills and experience:

• Optical dispensing experience is advantageous, but not essential

• Previous experience in a fast paced retail industry

• Able to work in a large, growing team environment as well autonomously

• A self-starter with a sense of humour who enjoys variety and a busy environment

• Punctuality, reliability and flexibility to work retail hours

• Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail

• The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers.
