About the role

We are seeking a number of motivated people to join our Parks Service Unit. These roles offer the opportunity to work outdoors in a supportive team environment, contribute to maintaining some of the area's most treasured public spaces, and develop skills with genuine opportunities for career progression. Position Type
Temporary full time up to 12 months
Salary
$59,340 to $65,590 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation and an RDO each fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role
We are seeking an energetic worker with good interpersonal skills to join our Parks Maintenance Crews. The position will work as part of a small team maintaining parks and oval surrounds. Duties include the use of ride on and push grasscutting units, whipper snippers, hand blowers and linemarking equipment. The crew are also responsible for the cleaning of amenities and vegetation maintenance within the crews area.
Position Requirements
About you
Your new role requires the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines as set by the Parks Service Unit Supervisors. A high standard of service is needed to take appropriate action in response to a variety of demands.
Good physical fitness is critical as the person is required to carry out manual labouring tasks. Good listening and communication skills are essential to ensure directions and instructions are carried out safely, promptly and accurately.
