1 X Permanent Full-Time 35 hours, 5 days/week $117,664.98 to $128,930.71 + Super

Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Planner to join our Strategic Planning Team and play a key role in shaping the future growth and development of the Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA).
This is an opportunity for an accomplished planning professional to lead and contribute to complex strategic planning projects, influence planning policy and provide high-level strategic advice that supports the sustainable growth of Liverpool.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Strategic Planner, you will be responsible for delivering strategic planning policies, projects and initiatives in accordance with Council's strategic planning priorities and work program.
You will bring your technical expertise and strategic thinking to a diverse range of planning matters, while working collaboratively with internal teams, government agencies, consultants, industry and the community.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a strategic, experienced and solutions-focused planning professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to confidently lead complex planning projects.
You will have demonstrated experience in strategic planning, planning policy and the preparation and implementation of planning instruments, together with the ability to interpret legislation and provide sound, evidence-based advice.
You will be a confident communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, Councillors, government agencies, consultants, industry and the community.
Your ability to lead projects, influence outcomes, manage competing priorities and mentor others will be key to your success in this role.
