The Opportunity
Are you a chemistry graduate recently out of university or with a few years experience, ready to make a real-world impact? Join Veolia's Environmental Services team in Brooklyn, Victoria, and launch your career in one of the most vital sectors of our time—hazardous waste management.

What you'll be responsible for
Your mission will be to drive business growth for the hazardous waste business unit by ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient processing of waste materials through the Brooklyn Technical Waste facility.
Waste Receivable & Processing
Identify incoming and outgoing wastes to determine their composition and concentration of contaminants using your analytical chemistry skillsDirect operators and other workers in the safe handling, treatment, and consolidation of incoming and outgoing wastesEnsure all waste streams and raw materials are managed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
What you'll need to be successful
Education: A degree in Chemistry or related scientific disciplineAnalytical mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailCommunication skills: Ability to direct and guide team members clearly and confidentlySafety-conscious: Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and compliance standardsEager to learn: Enthusiasm for developing your technical expertise in a specialised fieldTeam player: Collaborative approach with the ability to work across different operational teams
