Cafe allrounder

About the role
This is a casual position at Calypso Coffee Lounge, a popular cafe located in Tuggeranong, ACT. As a cafe allrounder, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth running of the cafe, including food preparation, customer service, and general cafe duties. What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based coffee drinks

• Preparing and presenting a variety of cafe-style food items, such as sandwiches, salads, and light meals

• Providing excellent customer service, taking orders, and handling cash and payments

• Maintaining a clean and organized cafe environment, including cleaning and restocking

• Assisting with other tasks as required to support the efficient operation of the cafe

• Cafe hours are Monday to Friday 7.00am-2.30pm

• Offering approx 15 hours per week , will be trained at 2 sites near each other to fill in when needed at both

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or cafe environment, preferably in a similar role

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and efficient service

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

• A positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently

• Lets be honest, sometimes things happen and staff are sick so the ability to come in when called is a great advantage
