The Interior Design discipline at RMIT seeks expressions of interest for part-time sessional teaching positions across various content areas. Teaching opportunities are available in both the Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours), a four-year undergraduate degree, and the Master of Interior Design, a two-year coursework program.
A leader in interior design education and research, we position interior design as a critical practice that contributes to and transforms the social, cultural, material, technological and environmental conditions of the spaces in which we live. Our programs challenge assumptions about interior design through ideas-led design practice that addresses the dynamic relations between people and the surrounding environment.
We seek expressions of interest from interior designers, architects, and other spatial or design-related fields with an established or emerging body of innovative and experimental design work. We welcome applications from both experienced educators and practitioners interested in developing a teaching practice.
