Previz Artist

3-month contract position with possible extension

We are seeking talented Previz Artists to join our dynamic team. Previz sits at the creative heart of how we communicate ideas – to directors, clients, and the production teams bringing those ideas to life.

As a Previz Artist at Alussein, you work at the intersection of storytelling, real-time technology, and generative AI. Translate scripts, storyboards, and director intent into fast, communicative previz and techviz. You’re as comfortable prompting a generative model for a concept background as you are blocking a camera move in Unreal Engine or sculpting a quick asset in Blender. Speed, clarity, and creative instinct are your core attributes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Produce fast, high-quality previz and techviz that effectively communicate directorial vision – camera language, staging, pacing, and tone
• Build and iterate scenes in Unreal Engine using real-time lighting, cinematics, and sequence tools – delivering polished previz outputs at production pace
• Use Blender for rapid asset creation, environment blocking, and layout – contributing clean geometry that can hand off into the production pipeline when needed
• Leverage AI image and video generation tools to rapidly explore visual concepts, generate mood references, and produce pre-production material
• Write effective generative prompts across image and video models, understanding how to guide style, composition, lighting, and motion through prompt construction and parameter control
• Collaborate directly with directors, VFX supervisors, and producers to capture creative intent quickly
• Stay at the frontier of generative and real-time tools, continuously identifying new techniques that accelerate the creative development process

WHO YOU ARE

• A creative artist with a strong sense of cinematic language – you understand framing, pacing, lens choice, and how camera work shapes storytelling
• Proficient in Unreal Engine for real-time previz and virtual production workflows – you know Sequencer, cinematics, and how to get a polished frame fast
• Comfortable in Blender for layout, blocking, and rapid asset creation
• Comfortable in Nuke to assemble composites
• Hands-on experience with AI generation tools
• A skilled prompt engineer in practice
• Fast, adaptable, and at ease in ambiguous early-development environments
• A strong communicator who can read a room, take direction in real time, and translate creative instinct into something a director can respond to
