Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst to take single-point accountability for end-to-end data conversion and governance as part of the  onboarding of Nine’s newly acquired media business, QMS, across Nine's People & Culture (P&C) and Finance ecosystems.
 

In this 6-month contract role based in North Sydney (hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite), you will work in a shared resource model split equally between P&C and Finance. You will be the central data authority responsible for profiling, mapping, transforming, and reconciling legacy QMS data from source systems (NetSuite, HiBob, manual feeds) into Nine's target enterprise platforms including Workday, Chris21, Humanforce, and D365 Finance.
 

Day to day you will:

• Data Strategy & Governance: Author and own the unified Data Conversion Strategy. Establish cross-stream mapping standards, crosswalk logic, data quality gates, and data freeze guidelines across both P&C and Finance streams.
• Bridge Business & Technical Execution: Translate complex domain business logic into actionable ETL transformation specs. Oversee and operationally direct the Data Engineer’s execution on technical data pipelines.
• Mock Migrations & Validation: Orchestrate end-to-end data validation routines across Mock 1, Mock 2, and final Cutover stages.
• Reconciliation & Quality Assurance: Lead Business Data Owners through data profiling, field-level cleansing, mock run variance reconciliations, and audit reporting. Troubleshoot data issues and errors that occur and work with the Business to resolve. 

Qualifications
What you’ll bring:

• Strong background as a Lead Data Analyst with hands-on experience in large-scale enterprise data migrations.
• Technical familiarity and working knowledge of Workday (HCM/P&C) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Ecosystem).
• Demonstrated experience defining crosswalk logic, writing ETL transformation specifications, and managing data quality gates.
• Proven leadership capabilities in directing engineering work while effectively guiding business SMEs through data cleansing and reconciliation.
• Deep experience in financial data reconciliation ($0-variance tolerance) and HR/employee master data validation.
