Join a growing Aboriginal-led health service committed to improving health outcomes for First Peoples and the wider community. Gandangara Health Services offers an opportunity for a General Practitioner to provide high-quality primary healthcare while working within a culturally safe, multidisciplinary team dedicated to holistic wellbeing.
About You
We are seeking a Part-time General Practitioner to join its dedicated and passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a GP to work closely with Aboriginal patients and the broader community, impact health delivery and improve outcomes for all patients, with our family-focused general practice.
The successful candidate will work alongside the established team of GPs, Nurses, Health Pracitioners and administration support staff with a particular focus on providing high quality patient-centred care, chronic disease management, preventative health, women's health, mental health care plans, care coordination and vaccinations.
Key Responsibilites
Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services
Deliver patient-centred and evidence-based clinical care
Participate in chronic disease management and preventative health programs
Conduct Aboriginal Health Assessments and GP management plans
Collaborate with Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and allied health professionals
Maintain accurate clinical records and compliance requirements
Contribute to quality improvement and accreditation activities
Support health promotion and community outreach initiatives
Demonstrated commitment to culturally safe healthcare
Willingness to work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Islander communities
Essential
Current AHPRA registraton
Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM
Eligibility for Medicare Provider Number
Registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board
Current Medical Indemnity Insurance
Current CPR certification
Clinical software experience (Best Practice desirable)
Demonstrated experience working across cultures and awareness of the cultural practices, values and issues that affect Aboriginal people and their communities
Understanding of Close the Gap initiatives
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and oral communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
Willingness to obtain a National Police Check & WWC check
